Selling property in Queensland has changed significantly under the Property Law Act 2023. Since 1 August 2025, Sellers are required to provide a Form 2 Seller Disclosure Statement and prescribed certificates to a buyer before the buyer signs a contract. Failure to comply may give a buyer rights to terminate a contract before settlement.
The Property Law Act 2023 will commence tomorrow 1 August 2025, bringing significant reforms to conveyancing and property transactions in Queensland.
