Elliot Whieldon
Legal Practitioner Director
Elliot Whieldon is the Principal and Legal Practitioner Director of Evolution Legal, a Gold Coast law firm he leads with a clear philosophy: provide high-quality legal advice that is practical, commercial and easy to understand.
With extensive experience across property, commercial and business law, Elliot advises individuals, property owners, developers and business operators on everything from complex property transactions and commercial leasing to business sales and acquisitions, corporate structures and commercial agreements. His focus is always on understanding the commercial objective behind a transaction, identifying the real risks and finding a practical way forward.
Elliot holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia.
Having lived on the Gold Coast since 1984, Elliot has strong connections to the local community and understands the realities of owning property and operating a business. His background extends beyond law, having also worked as a chef, small business owner and building supervisor — experience that gives him a practical perspective when advising clients.
Elliot’s approach is straightforward: clear advice, practical solutions and no unnecessary legal jargon.
Joshua Rivett
Solicitor – Property and Commercial Law
Josh is a Lawyer with a strong passion for property and commercial law, bringing a unique international perspective and a determined approach to legal practice.
Shortly after embarking on his legal career, Josh took a break to pursue a lifelong ambition of becoming a professional road cyclist, spending time focused on high-performance cycling competing at an elite level in France. The discipline, resilience and commitment developed through competitive sport continue to shape his approach to legal practice today. Unfortunately, injury cut this dream short, and the legal community is fortunate to have him back.
Josh was admitted as a Solicitor in New Zealand, where he developed his legal foundations before relocating to Australia to pursue his long-term career ambitions in property and commercial law. His move reflects a commitment to working within one of the region’s most dynamic property and business markets, assisting clients with a broad range of commercial and property-related matters. Josh enjoys working closely with clients to provide practical, commercially focused advice and understands the importance of clear communication, attention to detail and timely outcomes. He is passionate about helping individuals, investors, business owners and developers navigate complex legal issues with confidence. With a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in the commercial realities faced by clients, Josh is focused on building a long-term career advising businesses and property owners throughout Australia.
Outside the office, Josh maintains his passion for cycling, running and enjoys the active lifestyle offered by South-East Queensland’s coastal communities.
Jordan-Lee Whieldon
Conveyancer/Paralegal
Jordan is a conveyancing paralegal practicing in Queensland property transactions. Jordan has experience in residential and commercial property transactions as well as business sales and purchases. Jordan is a friendly, astute and enthusiastic member of our team, with excellent attention to detail. She is only too willing to assist clients with any enquiries and general advice regarding her area of expertise. Jordan’s strength is assisting her clients through the minefield that can be in those residential and commercial property transactions.
In her spare time, Jordan is a committee member of the Bayside BMX club and enjoys spending quality time with her partner and young family and making the most of the the fantastic outdoor activities that South East Queensland has to offer.
